After scoring hits for years, the producer wanted to level up his life performance by starting his new concept “Burning down the House”. This concept is more focussed around Yung Felix playing house music instead of hip-hop and afrobeat.
For his new concept, Yung Felix wanted to incorporate visuals into his newly house-influenced livesets when playing at festivals. Studio Dreadlabs was responsible for these animations. The goal was to create provocative visuals that would catch the eye of the audience during the shows.
Taking “Burning Down the House” quite literally, our main visual was a mixed media project involving the burning the same rave flyer in different places, and layering them on top of one another.

One of the most distinctive traits of Yung Felix are his gold teeth. This was also added to the burning skull visual as a small detail for the keen observer.
An initial idea was to burn down a doll house and film it, but it was hard to find a fitting doll house. In the end, we went with a CGI model and burned it in 3D software.
The first “Yung Felix: Burning Down The House” show was held at Paaspop 2023. You can watch the full set down below.
